Statement Of Faith
1. The entire Bible is the Word of God, a supernaturally given revelation from God Himself as men were inspired by His Holy Spirit. ( 2 Timothy 3:16 Every Scripture is God-breathed (given by His inspiration) and profitable for instruction, for reproof and conviction of sin, for correction of error and discipline in obedience, [and] for training in righteousness (in holy living, in conformity to God’s will in thought, purpose, and action); 2 Peter 1:21 For no prophecy ever originated because some man willed it [to do so—it never came by human impulse], but men spoke from God who were borne along (moved and impelled) by the Holy Spirit.) It is the discerner of all things and reveals the heart of God. (Hebrews 4:12 For the Word that God speaks is alive and full of power [making it active, operative, energizing, and effective]; it is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating to the dividing line of the [a]breath of life (soul) and [the immortal] spirit, and of joints and marrow [of the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and sifting and analyzing and judging the very thoughts and purposes of the heart.) It is there to help His future Bride, the church to make herself ready for Him, their Bridegroom. (Revelation 19:7 Let us rejoice and shout for joy [exulting and triumphant]! Let us celebrate and ascribe to Him glory and honor, for the marriage of the Lamb [at last] has come, and His bride has prepared herself.)
2. There is one God, eternally existing and manifesting Himself to us in three Persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Matthew 3:16-17 And when Jesus was baptized, He went up at once out of the water; and behold, the heavens were opened, and he [John] saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting on Him.17 And behold, a voice from heaven said, This is My Son, My Beloved, in Whom I delight!; Matthew 28:19 Go then and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them [a]into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.; Luke 9:35 Then there came a voice out of the cloud, saying, This is My Son, My Chosen One or [a]My Beloved; listen to and yield to and obey Him!; 2 Corinthians 13:14 The grace (favor and spiritual blessing) of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the presence and fellowship (the communion and sharing together, and participation) in the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen (so be it)
3. Our Lord Jesus was supernaturally conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin, Mary, a lineal descendant of David. (Luke 1:26–37 V 35 Then the angel said to her, The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you [like a shining cloud]; and so the holy (pure, sinless) Thing (Offspring) which shall be born of you will be called the Son of God.) He was given to bring salvation to all who would believe in Him and to bring us into intimacy with His Father (John 3:16 For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten ([a]unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life. John 15:15 I do not call you servants (slaves) any longer, for the servant does not know what his master is doing (working out). But I have called you My friends, because I have made known to you everything that I have heard from My Father. [I have revealed to you everything that I have learned from Him.]) He came to do what pleased His Father (John 8:28-29 So Jesus added, When you have lifted up the Son of Man [on the cross], you will realize (know, understand) that I am He [for Whom you look] and that I do nothing of Myself (of My own accord or on My own authority), but I say [exactly] what My Father has taught Me. 29 And He Who sent Me is ever with Me; My Father has not left Me alone, for I always do what pleases Him.) He is the only way to the Father (John 14:6 )Jesus said to him, I am the Way and the Truth and the Life; no one comes to the Father except by (through) Me.) He was anointed by His Father to do great works by the power of the Holy Spirit. (Acts 10:38 How God anointed and consecrated Jesus of Nazareth with the [Holy] Spirit and with strength and ability and power; how He went about doing good and, [a]in particular, curing all who were harassed and oppressed by [the power of] the devil, for God was with Him.)
4. By His death on the cross, the Lord Jesus made a perfect atonement for sin, by His blood making a way for us to draw near to His Father. (Hebrews 9:11-12 But [that appointed time came] when Christ (the Messiah) appeared as a High Priest of the better things that have come and are to come. [Then] through the greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with [human] hands, that is, not a part of this material creation, 12 He went once for all into the [Holy of] Holies [of heaven], not by virtue of the blood of goats and calves [by which to make reconciliation between God and man], but His own blood, having found and secured a complete redemption (an everlasting release for us), (1 Peter 2:24 He personally bore our sins in His [own] body on the tree [a][as on an altar and offered Himself on it], that we might die (cease to exist) to sin and live to righteousness. By His wounds you have been healed). Making us fully acceptable in the Beloved by what He did. (Ephesians 1:6 [So that we might be] to the praise and the commendation of His glorious grace (favor and mercy), which He so freely bestowed on us in the Beloved.) We are justified by faith in Him. (Romans 5:1-2 Therefore, since we are justified ([a]acquitted, declared righteous, and given a right standing with God) through faith, let us [grasp the fact that we] have [the peace of reconciliation to hold and to [b]enjoy] peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One). 2 Through Him also we have [our] access (entrance, introduction) by faith into this grace (state of God’s favor) in which we [firmly and safely] stand. And let us rejoice and exult in our hope of experiencing and enjoying the glory of God. ) We are saved by grace not works and made alive in Him to be able to do what He has destined us to do. (Ephesians 2:1-10 v8 8 For it is by free grace (God’s unmerited favor) that you are saved ([c]delivered from judgment and made partakers of Christ’s salvation) through [your] faith. And this [salvation] is not of yourselves [of your own doing, it came not through your own striving], but it is the gift of God; ) He redeemed us from the curse of the law. (Galatians 3:13 Christ purchased our freedom [redeeming us] from the curse (doom) of the Law [and its condemnation] by [Himself] becoming a curse for us, for it is written [in the Scriptures], Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree (is crucified);)
5. The Lord Jesus is coming again. (1 Thessalonians 4:16–17 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a loud cry of summons, with the shout of an archangel, and with the blast of the trumpet of God. And those who have departed this life in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we, the living ones who remain [on the earth], shall simultaneously be caught up along with [the resurrected dead] in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air; and so always (through the eternity of the eternities) we shall be with the Lord!) Hebrews 9:28 Even so it is that Christ, having been offered to take upon Himself and bear as a burden the sins of many once and [a]once for all, will appear a second time, not to carry any burden of sin nor to deal with sin, but to bring to full salvation those who are [eagerly, constantly, and patiently] waiting for and expecting Him.; Revelations 1:7 Behold, He is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him; and all the tribes of the earth shall gaze upon Him and beat their breasts and mourn and lament over Him. Even so [must it be]. Amen (so be it).)
6. The Holy Spirit is a person and gift sent by the Father to teach us all that we need to know and empower us to do His works and showing His power. (John 14:26 But the Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, Whom the Father will send in My name [in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf], He will teach you all things. And He will cause you to recall (will remind you of, bring to your remembrance) everything I have told you., Acts 1:8 But you shall receive power (ability, efficiency, and might) when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you shall be My witnesses in Jerusalem and all Judea and Samaria and to the ends (the very bounds) of the earth.)
7. Man was created in the image of God, after His likeness. (Genesis 1:27 So God created man in His own image, in the image and likeness of God He created him; male and female He created them.) And each human is a unique creation of God their Father to do what He created then to do. (Psalms 139:14-16 I will confess and praise You for You are fearful and wonderful and for the awful wonder of my birth! Wonderful are Your works, and that my inner self knows right well. 15 My frame was not hidden from You when I was being formed in secret [and] intricately and curiously wrought [as if embroidered with various colors] in the depths of the earth [a region of darkness and mystery]. 16 Your eyes saw my unformed substance, and in Your book all the days [of my life] were written before ever they took shape, when as yet there was none of them.)
8. The whole human race fell in the fall of the first Adam. (Romans 5:12 Therefore, as sin came into the world through one man, and death as the result of sin, so death spread to all men, [[a]no one being able to stop it or to escape its power] because all men sinned.) Becoming dead in their trespasses and sins. (Ephesians 2:1 And you [He made alive], when you were dead (slain) by [your] trespasses and sins.) They cannot see nor enter the Kingdom of God until they are born again of the Holy Spirit. (John 3:3-5 Jesus answered him, I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, that unless a person is born again (anew, from above), he cannot ever see (know, be acquainted with, and experience) the kingdom of God. 4 Nicodemus said to Him, How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter his mother’s womb again and be born? 5 Jesus answered, I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, unless a man is born of water and [[a]even] the Spirit, he cannot [ever] enter the kingdom of God.).
9. The Church is the Bride of Christ, which Christ loves and for whom He has given Himself. (Ephesians 5:25–27 Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave Himself up for her, 26 So that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the Word, 27 That He might present the church to Himself in glorious splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such things [that she might be holy and faultless]; Revelations 21:2 And I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, all arrayed like a bride beautified and adorned for her husband.)
10. There is a personal devil who desires to steal, kill and destroy, but Christ came to destroy his works and give those who believe in Him abundant life. (1 John 3:8 [But] he who commits sin [who practices evildoing] is of the devil [takes his character from the evil one], for the devil has sinned (violated the divine law) from the beginning. The reason the Son of God was made manifest (visible) was to undo (destroy, loosen, and dissolve) the works the devil [has done], John 10:10 The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it [a]overflows).
11. We believe God’s work with His chosen ones (The Jews) is not yet done. He is going to yet reveal Himself to them in a great way and show Himself to them as their Messiah. We are to pray for the peace of Jerusalem till He comes. (Romans 9-10, Psalm 122:6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem! May they prosper who love you [the Holy City]!)
